why don’t you just say it outright, lorena?  your LPGA tour prioritises business and snagging (and snogging) sponsors over the quality of the game.  how else can you explain their shitty rule to impose an english speaking requirement on its players beginning in 2009?  what does the LPGA CEO say?  so that the players can coordinate better with their sponsors.

or maybe this is a way to slowly ease out the largest group of winningest players from korea who speak mostly through interpreters.  this is a dangerous precedent and smacks of outright arrogance and discrimination.  i hate it when money talk overpowers sport talk.

i’d like a handicap, please

i know of at least 4 people close to me, either by blood or association, who live golf. my two brothers are spanking amateurs who follow the golf scene avidly; my two sisters-in-law play as well. a good friend from college and godfather to my older son has told me repeatedly to put a golf club in MA’s hands to prepare the way for the new tiger woods. but in order to get there, it would be nice to get him assessed first off, right? things like getting the right clubs, the right gear, and the handicap are de rigueur. it’s easy to find clubs, clothes, and shoes anywhere but how do you get assessed for your handicap if you happen to find yourself away from your home state, assuming you’re in the united states?
